Learning Ladybirds had a wonderful day sharing the books they had brought into school and showing their amazing outfits. We read a book called 'When I grow up', by Tim Minchin and discussed the things we would love to do when we are grown up. The children turned these thoughts into poems and watercolour paintings. We then turned our poem into songs and we sang these to the tune, 'When I grow up' from the show 'Matilda'. It was a magical moment! We also asked parents what their thoughts had been when they were little and we even invited Mrs Parsons and Mr McNally in to ask them questions about their childhood dreams. We shared stories throughout the whole day with our friends and kept a tally chart to show how many stories had been shared. What an amazing day we had!
